About monroe
Brace yourselves....
Party anthems, booty shaking, guns blazing rock pop tunes are just some things that this fiery band straight out of Melbourne’s South East does best.
Turning heads with their electrifying sound and theatrical image, MONROE serves up an irresistible portion of infectious guitar riffs, soaring sing-along choruses, and a larger-than-life stage show fit for arenas.
Since forming in 2022, MONROE has been electrifying Melbourne’s live music scene with high-energy performances and undeniable chemistry. It wasn’t until they found their missing piece—frontman Nathaniel McNeil — that the band truly stepped into their own. With Nathaniel’s soaring vocals and commanding stage presence, MONROE delivers a show that’s as much about spectacle as it is about sound.
At the core of their sound is the dynamic guitar duo of Rocco and Jason. Rocco’s unique style drawing influence from fiery shredders to liquid fusion players, pairs with Jason’s explosive energy and punchy riffs. Their pyrotechnic playing fuels the band’s wild, unpredictable vibe.
Holding down the groove are Brandon’s heavy, punchy drums and Christian’s funk-infused bass lines. Brandon’s energetic drumming drives the band’s rhythm, while Christian adds a dark, funky layer that ties everything together.
Together, MONROE fuses glam rock, the happy go lucky, “everything will be alright” energy of the party decade that was the 80s, and a contemporary edge to craft a sound that’s not only true to the trailblazers who defined authenticity, but also one that stands out amongst an overtly pessimistic and excessively self-introspective scene. With their electrifying performances and larger-than-life stage presence, MONROE isn’t just a band — they’re a celebration of music, self-expression, and the power of reinvention.
MONROE is determined to take centre stage and make their mark. This is a band with undeniable talent, energy, and drive, and they’re just getting started.

THE “MONROE PACK”
Who said boy bands were dead?

NATHANIEL
Frontman
Nathaniel commands the stage with soaring vocals and a magnetic presence that embodies the GLAMOROUS LIFE. He's the glittery life of the party, always playful and brimming with campy charm. With his bold makeup, fur coats, and a wardrobe of flamboyant outerwear, he effortlessly channels the host's energy — welcoming, cheeky, and undeniably captivating. Every performance is a celebration of his larger-than-life personality and impeccable style.

ROCCO
Guitarist
Rocco brings a mix of charm and burst of energy to the stage, blending the new kid in town vibe with a hot-shot guitarist’s edge. Think Eddie Van Halen meets Marty McFly, or if Daniel LaRusso’s training involved guitar acrobatics, mixed with a splash of Ferris Bueller’s cheeky confidence. Always up on stage with a smile on his face, he’s the new kid on the block who wants you to have just as much fun watching him deliver face melting solos.

JASON
Guitarist
Jason storms the stage like an 80s action hero straight out of a cult classic. Channeling Kurt Russell and Stallone with the soft-spoken silent stoickness of Patrick Swayze, he’s always ready to gun you down with a killer riff or fire off a stereotypical action hero quote with a smile. Taking his humorous approach on the “chad” vibes and a wardrobe of tank tops and fringe leather jackets, he’s the rock-and-roll embodiment of Cobra meets Road House. Jason’s energy is as wild as it is electrifying—pure, unapologetic chaos in the best way.

CHRISTIAN
Bassist
Christian is the secret weapon of Monroe — a rock and metal head but raised in the funkiest of bass riffs.
Cloaked in an air of mystery and always sporting his signature fedora, he embodies the brooding intensity of icons like Mick Mars and Richie Sambora. But there’s more to Christian than meets the eye; his basslines pulse with the groove and charisma of funk, soul, and R&B legends such as Robert "Kool" Bell, Verdine White, Mike Porcaro, and Louis Johnson. Unpredictable yet grounded, his energetic and thunderous basslines formulates the backbone of the band. On stage, Christian is an enigma—cool, commanding, and utterly captivating as he weaves magic into every note.

BRANDON
Drummer
Brandon brings a romcom charm to Monroe, the preppy drummer with a puppy-dog vibe that’s impossible not to love. Picture Andrew McCarthy meets Rick Springfield, with a dash of awkward yet endearing energy that lights up the room. Rocking colourful outfits, new wave flair, and his signature bandana, he’s bubbly and full of life, keeping the rhythm tight while keeping spirits high. Brandons influences draw from the tasteful drumming of legends like Jeff Porcaro and Stewart Copeland, to the unmistakable flair and character of Phil Collins. Brandon’s the heart of the group — a ballpark hero with a knack for turning every beat into a feel-good moment.
